Clarence D. Northup was born in 1866 in Yates CO, New York, the son of Oliver L. Northup and Sarah C. Waters. Clarence married Mary E. Cain first on 2 May 1891. Her parents were Francis Cain; b. 1846 and Clara Wederman; b 1855. Clarence and Mary had one daughter and then she died 16 October 1894 giving birth to twins, as did the one twin, Alvin and the other, Calvin lived until 29 October and also died. Clarence married Mae Crispie in 1902. They had at least three known children. Clarence died 16 May 1935 of Cerebral Hemorrhage in Kent County, Michigan.
